Pikey Peak Trek

Arrive in Kathmandu, the vibrant capital of Nepal. Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative who will transfer you to your hotel. After checking in, you can rest or explore the local sights in Thamel, a popular area for tourists. This day is mainly for rest and preparation for the trek ahead.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap, located in the Solu region. The journey takes approximately 8 hours, winding through lush hills, terraced farmlands, and small villages, offering glimpses of rural Nepali life. The road is a mix of paved and gravel paths, and the landscape becomes more picturesque as you approach Dhap. This will be your starting point for the trek, where you can rest for the night and get ready for the adventure ahead.

Today, your trekking adventure begins. Starting from Dhap, you will trek towards the village of Jhapre, situated at an altitude of 2830m. The trail offers an excellent opportunity to experience the natural beauty of the region as you pass through dense forests, terraced fields, and charming local villages. The journey takes about 5-6 hours, and along the way, you can enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching Jhapre, you can rest and take in the tranquil atmosphere of this remote village.

On this day, you will trek from Jhapre to the Pikey Peak Base Camp, situated at 3640 meters. The trail is steep in some sections, but the breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, including Everest, will make the climb worthwhile. The trek takes about 5 hours, and as you ascend, the air will become thinner, so take it slow and steady. Once you reach the base camp, you can relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings.

Today is the highlight of your trek: reaching the summit of Pikey Peak, at an altitude of 4065 meters. You will first climb Pikey Peak 2, then make your way to Pikey Peak 1. These peaks offer some of the most spectacular views of the Everest region, including a sunrise experience that will leave you in awe. After enjoying the panoramic views, you will begin your descent and trek back to Jasmane Bhanjyang, where you will spend the night. The trek from Pikey Peak to Jasmane Bhanjyang takes about 6 hours.

Today’s trek will take you from Jasmane Bhanjyang to Junbesi, located at 2700 meters. This section of the trail is relatively easy and takes about 4 hours to complete. Junbesi is a peaceful village, surrounded by magnificent mountain views and rich Sherpa culture. You will pass through dense forests and small villages, with the opportunity to interact with locals and experience their way of life. Once in Junbesi, relax and enjoy the serene environment.

On Day 7, you will trek from Junbesi to Phaplu, a journey that takes around 4 hours. Phaplu, located at an altitude of 2475 meters, is a small but important town in the region. As you descend, the trail offers views of the surrounding mountains, including the Dudh Kosi river valley. Upon reaching Phaplu, you can rest and explore the town. Phaplu also has an airport, which serves as a gateway for those traveling to and from the Everest region.

On Day 8, you will drive back to Kathmandu from Phaplu, a journey that takes around 8-9 hours. The road winds through hilly terrain and offers a scenic journey back to the bustling capital. You can relax and reflect on your trekking adventure in the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have the evening to relax and unwind, perhaps indulging in some last-minute shopping or exploring the local culture.

On the final day of your trip, depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure.
