From Pokhara, you’ll drive approximately 40 kilometers to Sikles, a scenic Gurung village located around 2,000 meters above sea level. Sikles, known for its traditional stone houses and terraced farmlands, provides a warm and hospitable start to the journey.

The trail gradually ascends through lush rhododendron forests, alpine meadows, and rolling hills adorned with vibrant wildflowers, creating a magical trekking experience. Along the way, trekkers pass through small, picturesque villages inhabited by Gurung and Magar communities, offering a chance to witness their unique traditions, cultural practices, and daily lives.

Day 01 :

Drive from Pokhara to Sikles (1,980m)

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Sikles, a picturesque Gurung village located at 1,980 meters above sea level. The journey takes approximately 4–5 hours and offers stunning views of terraced fields, lush greenery, and distant Himalayan peaks. Sikles is known for its traditional stone houses and warm hospitality, making it the perfect place to begin your trek. Upon arrival, you can explore the village, interact with the locals, and enjoy the serene environment.

Day 02 :

Hike from Sikles (1,980m) to Hugu Goth (2,016m)

The trek begins as you leave Sikles and ascend through beautiful trails lined with rhododendron forests and terraced farmlands. The hike is moderately challenging, taking 5–6 hours, and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Along the way, you’ll pass small settlements and enjoy glimpses of local life. Hugu Goth is a peaceful spot where you’ll spend the night, surrounded by nature’s tranquility.

Day 03 :

Hike from Hugu Goth (2,016m) to Nohtha (3,000m)

On the third day, the trail takes you through alpine meadows and dense forests as you gradually ascend to Nohtha, located at 3,000 meters. This 5–6 hour hike is filled with stunning views of the Annapurna range, vibrant wildflowers, and the serene beauty of the Himalayan landscape. The higher altitude becomes noticeable as the air grows cooler and the surroundings more pristine. Nohtha provides a quiet and scenic resting place for the night.

Day 04 :

Hike from Nohtha (3,000m) to Kori Danda (3,800m)

The trek to Kori Danda is relatively short but steep, taking 3–4 hours. As you ascend, the views become more spectacular, with snow-capped peaks like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal, and Machhapuchhre dominating the skyline. Upon reaching Kori Danda, you’ll be greeted by the breathtaking panoramic vistas and a sense of solitude rarely found in popular trekking routes. Witnessing the sunset over the Himalayan peaks is a highlight of the day, and the serene environment is perfect for relaxation and reflection.

Day 05 :

Trek from Kori Danda (3,800m) to Sikles (1,980m)

The return journey to Sikles is the longest day of the trek, taking approximately 7–8 hours. The descent offers a different perspective of the landscapes you passed on your ascent, with ample opportunities to revisit the forests, meadows, and villages along the way. The trek down to Sikles is both rewarding and nostalgic, as you recount the stunning views and experiences of the past few days. Upon reaching Sikles, you can unwind and enjoy the village’s warm hospitality once more.

Day 06 :

Drive from Sikles to Pokhara

On the final day, you’ll drive back to Pokhara, a journey of approximately 4–5 hours. As you return to the city, you’ll have time to reflect on the incredible trek and the serene beauty of Kori Danda. Back in Pokhara, you can enjoy the comforts of city life, explore the lakeside area, or relax with the satisfaction of having completed this off-the-beaten-path adventure.
